A school bus driver in New Orleans is on the receiving end of praise after her maternal instincts kicked in and she was able to save the nine kids she was driving around.
After her fifth stop, Kia Rousseve noticed something was off with the bus, as evidenced by the “bus smoking.”
Rousseve was able to get the nine children off the bus and then saw that the underside of the bus was on fire.
Once the kids were off, she did one final check to make sure all children were out and safe and turned off the bus…got off…and then “the bus blew up.”
Rousseve admits to being shaken up by the whole thing but managed to keep her cool around the kids, who were already more than a little upset.
After an investigation, it was determined that a faulty alternator was to blame.
