A Massachusetts couple’s wedding was nearly derailed when their car, packed with wedding essentials, was stolen just before they left for their ceremony. Julia Pallis and her fiancé, Boston firefighter Collin Tully, had filled the car with drinks, decorations, and her wedding dress when it was taken outside their home last week.
Thinking quickly, the bride remembered that her laptop was inside the vehicle and used her phone to start tracking it. She followed the stolen car in her own vehicle while giving police live updates on its location. At one point, the thief drove past an officer on duty, and Pallis was able to alert her directly.
Police in Bridgewater and East Bridgewater soon caught up with the 31-year-old suspect and arrested him. All of the couple’s belongings, including the wedding gown, were safely recovered. Tully praised his bride for staying calm, calling her a “rock star,” and the couple was able to continue with their wedding as planned.
