Several months after the big SLAP, Will Smith is finally answering some questions, and apologizing for the incident that overshadowed the 2022 Academy Awards. In the unlikely event you need reminding...Comedian Chris Rock was on stage to present and cracked a joke about the shaved hairstyle of Will's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, who suffers from a hair-lose ailment called Alopecia. Will, who was nominated (and ended up winning his first Oscar) that night, got up and slapped Rock, then returned to seat and began to holler and swear at Rock.
In this newly released video, Smith says that he's tried to reach out to Chris Rock and he's learned the Rock is not ready to speak. He also says that, despite rumors, his wife did not encourage him to take any action after the joke.
