#GoodNews: Team U.S.A. Paralympians Gift Prosthetic Foot To Toddler

Team U.S.A. Paralympians gift a prosthetic foot to a New Hampshire three-year-old. At a clinic for people with lower limb loss and limb differences put on by prosthetic company Össur and the Challenged Athletes Foundation, Thomas "TJ" DeAngelo was surprised with a custom high-performance prosthetic leg.

TJ was born with a condition that affects his right tibia and his new Nike Sole sports foot will allow the toddler to run just like his able-bodied peers. After being fitted with the prosthetic, TJ hit the field at Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester, New Hampshire, and did some laps with a huge smile on his face.

The new prosthetic was presented to him by Team U.S.A. track and field Paralympians Femita Ayanbeku and Noelle Lambert. "It’s really incredible for him to be getting this running blade and to just see him put that running blade on and start running like he’s had it his whole life,” Lambert says. “It's really special … and I’m always grateful to be a part of it.”
