Fear of Self-Driving Cars are Rising for Many Drives

While the idea of a self-driving vehicle may sound cool and fun to some people, recent high-profile accidents with such autonomous vehicles has apparently turned a lot of people off to the idea.

A new AAA survey finds that 73% of drivers admit they are too afraid to ride in a fully self-driving vehicle, an increase from 63% last year. Not only that, 63% of drivers say they would feel less safe walking or riding a bike while self-driving vehicles were on the road.

And while you’d think younger folks would be the ones to embrace the innovation of autonomous vehicles, the opposite is actually true. Turns out 64% of Millennials say they are too afraid to ride in a self-driving vehicle, and increase from 49% last year, which is the largest increase of any generation.
