Working from home is the ideal set up for a lot of people, especially if it means not having to commute, or even get dressed in some cases. And apparently more people are telecommuting than ever before.
A recent Gallup poll finds that 43% of Americans work remotely at least part of the time, and Indeed says there’s been a 385% increase in workers looking for jobs that will allow them to telecommute. Well, according to Indeed there are definitely parts of the country where the idea of working from home is more popular than others, and the crunched the data to find out exactly where that is.
Overall, the research found that for the second year in a row, folks in Atlanta are the most interested in telecommuting. One of the main reasons, according to the job site, is that Atlanta has a “high rate of traffic congestion,” which makes the idea of not having to commute ideal for folks in the city.
