When James Wright bought a Virginia Lottery Cash 5 ticket while across the border in Bracey, Virginia, he stuck it in his glove compartment and totally forgot about it. The Henderson, North Carolina resident didn’t even think about the ticket again until he found it while cleaning out his truck three months later.
And it’s a good thing he did because that ticket was a winner! Wright checked the numbers and found he’d won $100,000 in the November 12 drawing. Now he and his wife plan to use their winnings to pay bills and make home improvements.
