The Pretenders' Chrissie Hynde slammed fans who use cell phones during concerts, comparing it to a "mosquito buzzing" and "wanking monkey."

The musician took to Instagram on Tuesday (June 2) to criticize the act, while wondering out loud why fans do it.

"Hi all!" the rocker began the lengthy post. "What is it with people and their phones? Why do people have to film or take pictures at concerts? Why? The "I'll Stand by You" singer is hardly the first artist to criticize cell phone usage. "No cellphones, smart watches, smart glasses, cameras, or recording devices," the poster for her show declared.
