NYC Subway Riders Break Into Spontaneous Backstreet Boys Sing-Along

For better for for worse, riding the MTA in New York City is always an experience. One train of commuters made the best of their travels on Sunday night (June 16) when a shirtless man started playing the Backstreet Boys' "I Want It That Way" on his speaker, prompting the train of strangers to join in on a sing-along.

In a viral video, which was posted by user @Wertwhile, the New Yorker admitted that he had a tough week, but the impromptu karaoke session immediately lifted his mood. "Had a really tough week and tonight I was the subway and some guy walks between train cars, shirtless, bumping a speaker. I wasn't in the mood for Showtime particularly. But sometimes people and life surprise you and a little magic happens," he captioned a video of the car of commuters singing the iconic 1999 smash. It's entirely worthwhile to see a bunch of strangers band together to sing a pop classic, but if you're wondering why the viral clip is so short, Wertheimer said that he "had to turn it off and enjoy the moment."

As you might have expected, the viral moment became BSB-approved when the pop collective took to Twitter to reply to the video, writing, "We live for moments like this." Don't we all? Scroll on below to see the awh-inducing clip!
