BTS & Halsey's 'Boy With Luv' Just Broke 2 YouTube Records

BTS is continuing to make history.

According to Youtube, the K-pop band's latest hit, "Boy With Luv," released on Friday (April 14), had the biggest music video debut in YouTube history, garnering 74.6 million views in its first 24 hours.

"Boy With Luv," which features Halsey, eclipsed the record previously set by fellow K-pop group BLACKPINK just weeks ago for their new single "Kill This Love," which had 56.7 million views within a day, Mashable reports. The girl group took the spot previously held by Ariana Grande’s "thank u, next," which had been viewed 55.4 million times, according to Billboard.

That's not all BTS' latest music video accomplished. "Boy With Luv" is also the fastest music video to hit 100 million views, which it did in less than two days — a record that was also previously set by BLACKPINK.

BTS' youtube success comes on the heels of one of their biggest weeks to date. No only did they release their EP Map of the Soul: Persona, they also received the honor of being musical guests on Saturday Night Live.

RM, Jin, V, Jungkook, Jimin, Suga and J-Hope's appearance on SNL marked the first time the comedy sketch series has ever had a K-pop musical guest in its 44 seasons. The group made sure to make it a night to remember as they showed off their signature choreography, A-1 style — they wore street-style inspired outfits for their first look, and ended the night in coordinated black suits — and unmatched performance skills.
