Netflix just dropped a delicious new food series, "Fresh, Fried and Crispy," and Baltimore landed it's very own episode!
Five Baltimore area restaurants were highlighted for their unique take on fried food, as well as two prominent food influencers, @thebaltimorefoodie & @baltimorefoodscene! The Local Oyster, Pinch Dumplings and Between 2 Buns inside the Mt. Vernon Marketplace were highlighted first-- The Local Oyster for their "Colossal Crab" sandwich, Between 2 Buns for their "Pork Belly B," and Pinch Dumplings for their crab dumplings!
Food critic & host Daym then paid a visit to Hampden's The Food Market where he tried a plethora of their fried specialties including the jumbo mozzarella sticks, crispy lobster fingers, twice fried chicken wings and french onion rings. Lastly, Daym paid a visit to the Faidley family and got a lesson in making their world famous jumbo lump crab cakes. At the end of every episode, Daym chooses a winner out of everything he tried, so which one took the top spot in Baltimore? You'll have to watch to find out!
